My Man Alex Perkic is home with Jesus

We were tight in Middle school. Just a couple of dorks that girls thought were awkward. In Middle school, geeks stuck together. Alex lost his battle with cancer Saturday morning. His kids just barely made it from Montana to California to say goodbye. His wife Amy is one of the strongest and most amazing women I have ever known.
I have a range of emotions...sadness, relief, and jealousy (why does God get him?!?) but mostly just a little emptiness. Alex and I weren't able to hang out much since he left Cali a few years ago to become a bigshot newsman in KFFB Montana (I know, Montana...we love you Great Falls folks, but c'mon) but whenever he came back, during times of good health and bad, he always carried with him this light. Anyone who ever met him knows what I am saying. Alex radiated a faith and joy through Christ that was infectious. And that's what I will miss most.
Alex, we love you. Perkic clan, we are praying for you.

Thank you for "sharing" Alex with us in Great Falls -- we were indeed honored to count him as a friend and citizen of our community.
Please express our collective sympathy to all of his Cali family and friends.
